Our client needed a larger kitchen for their growing family. The old builder’s kitchen was cramped and lacked function. A room addition wasn’t an option, however using the space occupied by the unused formal dining room was the answer. Thus, the “Great Room” kitchen was conceived.

The new kitchen now has plenty of room for multiple cooks, especially with the addition of a new prep sink in the island. The family gathering place is now comfortable and inviting. The overall flow of the kitchen and the home was improved and is great for entertaining; a recent family function with over 35 guests had plenty of room to spread out, and the hosts never felt cramped for space. The clients said the kitchen made their whole home feel larger, and that the kitchen transformation also changed their lives for the better!

This kitchen features Yorktowne Cabinetry with a white chocolate painted finish on maple. The Colonial Cream colored granite compliments the cabinetry and a honed marble subway tile perfectly finishes off the look.
